There if finally some relief from the three long days of hot hot heat! We survived.
Asa has been potty training again. Evie has been grinning and talking, thats been fun, and she's sleeping better too! It'll be six weeks since her birth this friday, It seems like so long ago, but then again like yesterday..

Last Week we looked at the townhome i mentioned in the previous post. We loved it and put a bid in two days later. Unfortunately someone else bid the asking price so we lost out. There was another home we looked at the same day which needs more work and isn't as pretty, but it's cheaper and closer to the middle of where we need to be. We still aren't sure we're going to bid on it though, because it's located at the corner of a slightly busy street. We're supposed to see it this Saturday, I'll keep you posted.

I am really getting sick of paying $65+ every couple of days for gas. The monthly gas budget is more like a car payment now. I wish Mark's work, our families, Tyler, and church could all be close together, like within walking distance...or at least bike riding distance. I bet peoplein the city aren't being affected by the rising costs, at least not as much. Food is crazy expensive too. We have been eating out..or ordering out way more than we should be doing too, so thats not helping our budget..

On gas prices:
"I don't think it's going much lower, and it could go higher," McCain said on NBC's "Today Show." "I don't think so, not when you've got a finite supply, basically, and a cartel controlling it

Who the heck is McCain, the new gas price expert? They might as well have asked me. Anyway his answer is pretty safe. Sorry I just think it's stupid that he is making predictions--even if they are safe. I feel like he doesn't know very much, just army stuff. I especially don't think he knows much about our economy or whats really happening with the oil industry. I am still going to vote for him..the lesser of two evils. I feel that just like our country shouldn't be SO dependant on foreign oil, we-automobile drivers, shouldn't be so dependant on the oil companies... I am so excited to think of better electric cars and cars which use way less fuel for way more miles. My insurance company Progressive is offering $10 million to the winner of a contest in which the goal is to make a 100-mile per gallon car that people actually want to--and can afford to--drive. How cool is that? I just feel that even if the oil companies are making extremely high profits, that's there freedom--this is America, they shouldn't be regulated. We can change their pricing by demanding less oil... I know it's crazy to think about since right now we are so incredibly dependant. I definitely think that this is a good thing for us, a wake up call to be better stewards of this planet and be cleaner and more efficient.

I have ranted enough!
I have this website that I check pretty often. It's called Popsugar, a celebrity gossip blog. I know, I know, how shallow!!! The blog has different categories in it, like home, fashion, beauty ect..
I was reading it the other day when I came across a link. It said, something like "Urban Outfitters opens a new line of stores called Terrain" Right away I thought about a place I drive by very often called "Terrain at Styers" it was recently re-done and is now open. I've been wanting to go in because the design of the place is so intriguing! Anyway, I clicked on the link and saw that Urban Outfitters acquired a nursery near Philadelphia for their first store(the same nurseryI drive by). I was so excited!!! I can't wait to check this place out! I love Anthropolgie and was really into Urban Outfitters as a teen. This new store is even more up my alley being garden center!

Ok I'm done!

I like you new header! Asa is a cutie! I have been driving far less since the gas prices have risen which has left me feeling rather stir-crazy at times (like right now for instance!). We can walk to the library though so that's a good thing when the weather is nice. McCain isn't impressing me very much these days (I saw him yesterday on Today). I'm interested in knowing who the VPs will be on both sides.
